Third autocross on Fox Valley Region PCA's calendar, and landing it on September 18 is smart timing — by mid-September the Wisconsin air has cooled off, which means your tires and your engine are both happier than they'd be in the middle of summer. If you've never run one, autocross is the cheapest, lowest-risk way to find out what your car actually does at the limit: cones, a clock, a couple of runs at a time, and speeds low enough that a mistake costs you a rebuilt cone instead of bodywork.
