Marquee Porsche Events

Most Porsche events are a Saturday morning within driving distance. These are the other kind — the ones people book flights and hotels for, months ahead, and plan a year around.

Every one below is listed with where it is next, how far away that is, and, where the organizer has not published a date yet, a plain statement that they have not. Three of the seven are in that position right now, including the biggest of the lot.

Why only seven

Because these are the ones that pass the same test: you would get on a plane for it. There are hundreds of excellent Porsche events in the full directory — track days, Cars & Coffee, region tours, concours — and most of them are things you drive to on a Saturday. This page is the short list of the ones that are a trip.

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest Porsche event in the United States?

Porsche Rennsport Reunion, by a wide margin — the 2023 edition drew over 91,000 people to Laguna Seca, and it is run by Porsche itself. It is not annual, and the next one has not been announced. Of the events that run every year, Monterey Car Week is the largest occasion Porsche is part of, and Porsche Parade is the largest that is entirely Porsche.

Which Porsche event should a first-timer go to?

Amelia Island in March is the easiest: a third of Monterey's scale, nothing collides, and you can book a hotel a couple of months out. Luftgekühlt is one Saturday — with an optional ticketed party the night before — and needs no commitment beyond a ticket. Porsche Parade is the most rewarding but it is a full week and works best if you commit to the whole thing.

How far ahead do you need to book?

It depends entirely on the town. Monterey Peninsula rooms go 9 to 12 months out at roughly doubled rates. Porsche Parade 2027 is in Boise, whose walkable downtown holds roughly 1,500 rooms against a Parade that drew about 2,300 people last year — and mid-July is Boise's own high season regardless. The F.A.T. Ice Race lands in Big Sky in the middle of ski season. Amelia and Air|Water are normal bookings made a month or two ahead.

What is the difference between Luftgekühlt and Air|Water?

Luftgekühlt is air-cooled only — 1948 to 1998 — and moves to a different American city each year. Air|Water covers the whole model line including water-cooled and electric cars and stays at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. Both came out of the same Southern California scene.

How is this list kept current?

Each organizer's official calendar is scraped weekly and these pages update from it. Where an organizer has published a city but not a date — Rennsport Reunion 8, Air|Water 2027, the 2027 Ice Race — the page says so rather than estimating.

Not affiliated with Porsche AG, Porsche Cars North America, the Porsche Club of America, or any of the organizers listed. Every date here is checked against the organizer's own published announcement; where none exists, the page says so. Currently tracking 7 events.
