If you've never shown a car, start small. A Porsche club show or a PCA-region concours is a great way to see what judges actually look at (it's mostly cleanliness and originality, less about restoration money than people think).

Spectator entry is usually free at grassroots shows; concours d'elegance can range from free up to several hundred dollars at the high end. Showing your car is sometimes a separate registration fee.
