Mid-August in Maryland means heat, humidity, and a helmet that's soaked by your second run — pack water and a towel, seriously. This one's an autocross, so you're not lapping a road course; you're stringing together cones on a big flat surface at speeds low enough that a stock daily driver is genuinely competitive. Walk the course before you drive it. Walk it twice if you're new. Most autocross days involve some course work between runs, which sounds like a chore until you spend twenty minutes watching where everybody else is losing time.
