October 4th in Houston, and by then the air has usually loosened up enough to make driving across town a pleasure rather than a chore. Lone Star Region PCA's Central GTG sets up at Alara Garage, and a GTG is exactly what it sounds like — people, cars, conversation, no grid, no run groups, nobody timing anything. Bring the daily driver or the one that only comes out when the roads are dry. Nobody's checking. The best part of these is always the extra hour you didn't plan on staying, standing around somebody's open decklid arguing about what they should do next.
