Mid-September on the Central Coast, and the California Central Coast Region has a Drive & Dine on the calendar at Le Vigne in Paso Robles. The formula is simple and it works: point the car at something worth driving, roll in with the group, then sit down for a meal with people who'd rather talk about cars than anything else. These runs reward whatever you've actually got — daily driver, weekend car, the one that's been sitting under a cover since spring. Bring somebody who appreciates a good road from the right seat.
