Early October in Mississippi is about as good as it gets for a day out in the car — the humidity finally backs off, and you can run the windows down without regretting it. Magnolia Region PCA has the Eurofest Road Rally rolling out of the Hyatt Place Jackson/Ridgeland on the 2nd, so you've got a proper hotel lot to meet in, grab coffee, and sort out who's driving and who's navigating. Road rallies reward a good co-pilot more than a fast car, which means your daily driver is completely welcome here.
