About This Event

Golden Gate Region blocks off two days at Sonoma Raceway in early October, and the event code tells you everything about who shows up: DE5 for driver education, CR4 for club racing, TT4 for time trial. That's a paddock with three different kinds of ambition in it. If you've never run a DE, the format is friendlier than it sounds — sessions split by run group, an instructor in the right seat while you're learning the place, and far more seat time than a single day gives you. Two days also means you can spend Saturday figuring it out and Sunday actually driving.
