Autocross is still the cheapest way to actually learn your car. Peachstate PCA's fifth event of the season runs in Hampton, Georgia, with Kelly's Automotive on as sponsor, and if you've never done one, the format's simple: a cone course laid out on pavement, a handful of timed runs, and a work assignment where you're out there resetting cones between heats. Speeds stay low, but the steering inputs matter more than anywhere else you'll drive. You'll find your car's limits in first and second gear and probably discover your tire pressures were wrong.
