August 16th, on the 18th fairway at Pebble Beach Golf Links — grass, ocean air, and cars parked closer together than you'd ever dare park your own. A concours is a slower kind of car event: you walk, you crouch, you study panel gaps and paint depth and the underside of a hood that's cleaner than your kitchen. Judges work the field while owners stand beside their cars, usually happy to talk. It runs through the 17th, so you don't have to cram everything into one day. Wear shoes you can stand in for hours, plan on getting there early, and check the official page for schedule and ticketing before you commit.
